This is being done with stringent quality control to alleviate completely the chances of disease transfer. The donors are screened thoroughly in the first stage and their sperms are cryopreserved and after a quarantine of 6 months with re-evaluation of the donor it could be made eligible for uterine transfer. Only cryopreserved are being used for donor insemination schedule.
Sperm Collection & Processing
Sperm collection must be handled carefully to prevent infection. Before IVF, a trial sperm preparation is done to assess sperm quality and survival. After egg retrieval, the husband must provide a sample within 2 hours. If stress is a concern, cryopreservation in advance is an option, especially for men working abroad or undergoing surgery/chemotherapy. A non-toxic condom is available for those unable to collect via masturbation. Vibrator is a small instrument specifically used for men who are unable to masturbate
